Central Subway Community Meeting

Thursday, September 27 | 6:00 - 8:00 pm | Joe DiMaggio Playground Community Room (651 Lombard Street)

As the Central Subway project nears completion, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is starting public outreach which will inform the possible extension of the Central Subway to North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, and further west toward the Marina, Cow Hollow, and the Presidio.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 27, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Joe DiMaggio Playground Community Room (651 Lombard Street) and will be co-hosted by Supervisor Aaron Peskin and the SFMTA. They want to hear from the community about their ideas and concerns about a potential subway extension, as well as input on which routes and station locations to study. SFMTA staff will share results from prior studies and host conversations about extending the Central Subway.

Since 2013 SF NexTstop has been organizing and assisting local residents, the MTA, the CTA, and City and County Officials to extend the Central subway beyond the current terminus in Chinatown to both North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf.
